Caymanas Park is the only race track left in Jamaica (there once were several dotted around thew island). It is mentioned in 'The Pioneer's' 1969 song "Long Shot", in the line "What a weeping and a wailing down at Caymanas Park." which was also covered by The UK band The Specials in 1992. In March 2017 Caymanas Track Limited (a Jamaican Govenment owned agency) divested to the privately owned Supreme Ventures LTD, who also own the Jamaica National Lottery.
