On May 31, 1992, I photographed the annual Filipino Santacruzan pageant in Forest Gate, Newham, East London. Founded in 1981 by Andy Andres after his arrival from the Philippines, it was the first event of its kind in the UK.

The Moors and Christians Festival of Alcoy, in honor of Saint George. On the second day of the day festival affiliated groups decked out in medieval costume as Moors or Christians fiesta on the streets and in the bars of Alcoy, in honor of Saint George. In 1276, different historical figures related to the various Muslim uprisings taking place in the region, led to Saint George becoming the patron saint of Alcoy. who is attributed with the intervention in a battle to defend the population who were under attack by the Muslims.
