UK. 1992.   New-age traveller child at the Forest Fayre music festival in Cotswolds, Gloucester, During the summer of 1992 I embarked on a photo-project to capture the spirit of the New-age traveller movement that had emerged, travelling around the country in convoys of converted buses and vans to music festivals. The travellers had formed an un-easy alliance with the emerging rave scene at the time. The itinerant travellers would need a field to stay in and the ravers needed a field to party in. However the police became very heavy handed and violence broke out as travellers tried to gain access to sites and relationships between travellers the police and ravers became extremely embittered.
